1. Who we are

This webshop (shop.tecantequila.com) is operated by:

2. Age restriction — 18+

  • We sell alcoholic beverages. We do not sell to persons under 18 (Dutch Alcoholwet). NIX18 — niet 18, geen alcohol.
  • You must actively confirm your age with every order. Providing false age information is a breach of these terms; we may cancel any order where we doubt the buyer's age.
  • At delivery, the recipient must prove they are 18 or older with valid ID. If age cannot be verified, the parcel will not be handed over (see Shipping Policy).

3. Offer and ordering

  • All offers are valid while stocks last. Obvious errors in pricing or product information do not bind us; we will contact you if an error affects your order.
  • The contract is concluded when we send you the order confirmation by email — and, for alcoholic beverages, subject to successful age verification at order and delivery.
  • We deliver only within the Netherlands (no PO boxes; no forwarding addresses used to circumvent age checks).
  • Products are sold for personal consumption in reasonable household quantities; we may refuse orders that appear commercial in nature.

4. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in euros and include 21% VAT and Dutch excise duty. Shipping costs are shown separately before you place your order.
  • Payment is due at the time of ordering via the payment methods shown at checkout. The order button is marked with words indicating an obligation to pay ("Order and pay").

5. Delivery

  • Delivery within the Netherlands by PostNL (18+ delivery service) with a mandatory 18+ age check at the door. See the Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • We dispatch within one working day; the statutory maximum delivery term of 30 days applies. If we cannot deliver on time, you may cancel and be refunded.
  • Risk of damage/loss passes to you on delivery.

6. Right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht)

  • You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order. See the Returns Policy for the procedure and the model withdrawal form.
  • The right of withdrawal does not apply to bottles whose seal or capsule has been broken: these are sealed goods not suitable for return once unsealed (art. 6:230p BW). Only unopened bottles with the seal intact can be returned.
  • We refund within 14 days of your withdrawal (we may wait until we have received the goods back or proof of return shipment). The refund covers the product price and, if you withdraw the whole order, the standard delivery costs. You pay the cost of returning the goods.

7. Conformity and complaints

  • We deliver products that conform to the agreement (Dutch law on consumer sales, Book 7 Burgerlijk Wetboek). If a product is defective or damaged on arrival, contact us within a reasonable time at info@tecantequila.com; we will repair, replace or refund at no cost.
  • Complaints: we respond within 5 working days. If we cannot resolve your complaint together, you may submit the dispute to the competent Dutch court.

8. Responsible sale

  • We follow the Dutch Alcoholwet and the Advertising Code for Alcoholic Beverages (Reclamecode voor Alcoholhoudende Dranken).
  • Discounts on alcoholic beverages never exceed 25% of the regular price (art. 2a Alcoholwet).

9. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law (including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights).
  • Our liability for other damages is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order.

10. Privacy

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including the age information we are legally required to verify.

11. Governing law

Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands; consumers may also rely on the court of their place of residence.

12. Changes

We may amend these terms; the version published at the time of your order applies to that order.
